I'm writing a book
about gamification
in the workplace

Who this book is for

This book is for anyone interested in gamification and particularly those who are interesting in applying gamification to business. You could be new to the field and searching for an easy-to-follow guide on how to get started, or you could be familiar with gamification and looking to add tools to your gamification design arsenal, such as psychology theories and models as well as practical steps and common pitfalls to avoid.

What you will learn

Gamification is powerful when done correctly. But it can go wrong if not done properly. There are several important models and processes you need to know or risk your gamification design failing. The good news is that you can fast-track your learning and gain from the experience (and failures) of others, to make sure your gamification experience is successful.

This book is about how to implement gamification in the real world and how to navigate typical business challenges you will face. The content is based not only on my PhD research in workplace gamification but also over a decade’s worth of practical experience of gamifying a large range of business types and challenges.

Engaging format

I assume that you are looking to get cracking with an actual gamification design and are looking for things you are action right away. For this reason, I have kept the content pithy so you can learn efficiently and effectively.  The book format is also somewhat different - rather than listing frameworks and common traps, it’s presented to you in the form of a business fable. This is because the human brain is wired for stories - they are engaging, memorable and one of the best ways to learn.
